Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE
Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR can make you feel dizzy or drowsy especially at the start of treatment. If you are affected in this way, or if your eyesight is affected, you should not drive.
CAUTION
Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Uses of Zepcar Tablet CR
Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR is used in the treatment of seizures, trigeminal neuralgia and mania.
How to use Zepcar Tablet CR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Zepcar Tablet CR works
Zepcar 300mg Tablet CR is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Common Skin rash, Nausea, Vomiting, Sleepiness, Dizziness, Fatigue, Coordination impaired, Decreased white blood cell count.
Q. Is Zepcar /Tegretol / Zeptol safe?
Zepcar is safe if used at prescribed doses for the prescribed duration as advised by your doctor
Q. Is Zepcar a controlled drug/ an opiate?
No. Zepcar is not a controlled drug or an opiate
Q. Is Zepcar an enzyme inducer?
Yes. It is an enzyme inducer. Please check with your doctor if you are taking other medications, which may get altered when taken together
Q. Is Zepcar an antidepressant/ MAOI/ benzodiazepine?
Zepcar is an antidepressant. It is not an MAOI or benzodiazepine
Q. Can I take paracetamol/ Tylenol/ tramadol/ ibuprofen/ Advil/ amoxicillin/ codeine/ Nyquil/naproxen/ oral contraceptives with carbamazepine?
All the above mentioned drugs may interact with carbamazepine. Please consult with your doctor before taking this medication. Always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required
Q. Does Zepcar cause weight loss or weight gain/ hyponatremia/ help anxiety/depression/ gingival hyperplasia make you tired/ cause high blood pressure?
Zepcar causing the above mentioned side effects are commonly or rarely observed. It is not known to cause gingival hyperplasia and high blood pressure. Please consult your doctor if you experience such side effects.
